recently 1 st in the 5K B Final, otherwise 5 th in the 5K

What are your biggest athletics achievements:
winning my first fun-run in Sydney at age 20, state junior cross-country selection for Vic and NSW, beating Lee Troop in a fun-run in Torquay, winning Super-Sunset Series in 1990, winning Corporate Cup matchrace 12 times, winning Australia Day fun run in Melbourne 98, and Waverley venue and shield premierships in the ‘90’s at Doncaster and over the past two years, seeing Waverley make Winter Division 1 this year

Steve Moneghetti – an awesome runner with a great sense of humour

Funniest moment at Waverley Athletics:
- Terry and Doncaster official Ivan Harding going head to head at interclub

- Waverley 4x400 metre relay teams changing sunnies and hats as well as the baton and still winning

- Coups losing a bet at training and having to do a nudie run at Jells Park

- John Hand building up for his acceptance speech at Winter Presentation Night

Highlight at Athletics Waverley:
At the venue finals at Doncaster in the 90’s, in the last leg of the last event of the day the 4x400m , seeing Coups chase down Dawso from Diamond Valley after giving him an 80m head start to pip him on the line and give Waverley the complete set of premierships by a point. That is the most amazing run I have ever seen.

What are your future ambitions for your Athletics career:

Complete the 40+ set of club distance records, avoid ever running another marathon, completing a lap of a winter event driving a new motorised Athletics Waverley club esky.
