Aussie, takes Phuket Marathon Title

AUSSIE Stephen Paine took the men's championship title for the second straight year at the 2009 Laguna Phuket International Marathon today. Paine crossed the 42k marathon finish line in 02:39:23.

A new AV Winter Season is drawing closer with the opening event next weekend and almost on our home turf - the Jells Park relays on Saturday April 18. Open File to view the calendar of events.

-A special mention to Madeline Pape, Tara White and the Men's 40+ realy team on winning events in the Victorian Championships. Open 400m & 800m double for Mad's. Under 20, 400m for Tara. 40+, 4 x 100m relay by Baldwin, Tuckett, Watts and Pulbrook.

-A big congratulations to all the Athletics Waverley athletes who participated in the Venue and Shield finals. The club ended up winning 6 venue final premierships and 2 shield final premierships.
